A NOTE ON CRAZING
Crazing is the fine network of lines that appears in the glaze of older china over time. It is caused by the natural expansion and contraction of the glaze across decades of temperature change. It is not a crack, it does not affect the structural integrity of
the piece, and in many cases it is considered a mark of authenticity and age. We always note clearly
whether crazing is present.
